In anticipation of the thousands of devotees who will assemble in Manila to participate in the grand procession marking the Feast of the Black Nazarene on Monday, 9 January 2017, please be informed that both Katigbak Drive and South Drive will be closed to traffic starting 9:00 pm on Sunday, 8 January.
On Monday, 9 January, the day of the procession, the following areas will be closed:
• McArthur Bridge
• Jones Bridge
• Quezon Bridge
• Roxas Boulevard (from Katigbak Drive to T.M Kalaw Avenue)
• Quezon Boulevard from Andalucia/Fugoso to España/P. Campa southbound
• Taft Avenue
The schedule of the Feast of the Black Nazarene is as follows:
Fiesta Vigil 5:00 pm – onwards
Eucharistic Celebration 12:00 midnight *4:00 am – 6:00 am Start of Traslacion (Procession)
Arrival of the Black Nazarene at Quiapo Church
Closure of some streets will be in effect as the procession approaches and will be opened immediately upon passing the streets enroute. The hotel complimentary shuttle service will resume on the afternoon of Monday, 9 January.
